King of Prism Franchise Gets 1st New Stage Play in 6 Years

The official X/Twitter account for the King of Prism franchise announced on Friday that the series is getitng its first new stage play in six years titled King of Prism -Your Endless Call- Mi~nna Kirameke! Prism☆Tours at Nippon Seinen-kan Hall in Tokyo from February 21-March 1. The play is based on the latest theatrical anime film of the same name.
The play (which features a mix of new and returning members) stars:

- Ryōki Nagae as Taiga Kōgami
- Yoshiki Murakami as Kakeru Jūōin
- Masashi Igarashi as Minato Takahashi
- Ren Takanashi as Leo Saionji
- Tomoya Nakanishi as Yū Suzuno
- Kōji Kominami as Kōji Mihama
- Taishi Sugie as Hiro Hayami
- Takuto Oomi as Kazuki Nishina
- Takafumi Maeuchi as Jin Norizuki
- Kento Ono as Hijiri HImuro
- Koh Oikawa as Rei Kurokawa
- Yūya Asato as Ryō Yamada
- Sho Katō as Alexander Yamato
- Yamato Furuya as Jōji Takadanobaba
- Tatsuyuki Kobayashi as Ace Ikebukuro
- Satsuki Nakayama as Ai
- Yoshihide Sasaki as Louis Kisaragi
Masanari Ujigawa is returning to direct the play. Masakazu Hishida is again writing the script under the alias Jō Aoba. Rei Ishizuka is returning to compose the music.
The franchise includes several stage plays. King of Prism -Shiny Rose Stars-, the second stage play in the franchise, ran in Tokyo at Tokyo Dome City Hall from February-March 2020.
The previous stage play, King of Prism -Over the Sunshine!-, ran in Osaka and Tokyo in November 2017. A newer performance titled King of Prism -Rose Party on Stage 2019- ran at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Kanagawa in October 2019.
King of Prism is a spinoff of the Pretty Rhythm franchise. The first film in the franchise, KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm, opened in January 2016. The second film, King of Prism: PRIDE the HERO, opened in Japan in June 2017. The later King of Prism: Shiny Seven Stars anime project is both a theatrical film series and a television anime. The film series screened as four films that opened in March through May 2019. The 12-episode television anime version premiered in April 2019, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
The King of Prism All Stars: Prism Show Best 10 anime film opened in Japan in January 2020. King of Prism: Dramatic Prism.1, a recompilation of the King of Prism: Shiny Seven Stars theatrical film series and television anime with new sections, opened in Japan in August 2024.
The franchise's first browser game titled King of Prism Kirameki launched in July 2024.
