Kadokawa started streaming the second promotional video for Nukitashi the Animation, the anime of Qruppo's adult visual novel adventure game Nuki-Gee Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Hinnyū (Watashi) wa Dō Surya Ii Desuka? (What's a Flat-Chested Girl Like Me to Do on an Island Straight Out of a Porn Game? or Nukitashi for short), on Thursday. The video reveals and previews the opening theme song "Utopia or Dystopia" by Yuki Yumeno, and the ending theme song "Saikai-kei Joshi wa Dōsurya Iidesu ka?" (What Should I do About a Girls' Reunion?) by Rie Ayase.

The anime will have three versions:

  • "Seiran Island" version: the lewd version with the most unregulated content, available on AT-X and on the anime's Blu-ray Disc box.
  • Streaming-only version: the version where the lewd elements are slightly more restricted than in the fully regulated version, and can be viewed on various streaming sites.
  • Fully regulated version: the version that can be viewed on BS11, Gifu Broadcasting, KBS Kyoto, and Mie TV.

The anime will premiere on July 18 on the AT-X channel at 26:05 JST (effectively, July 19 at 2:05 a.m.). The anime will also run on BS11, Gifu Broadcasting, KBS Kyoto, and Mie TV. WWWave Corporation's new anime streaming platform OceanVeil will exclusively stream the anime's "Seiran Island" version and the "Fully regulated" version starting on July 18.

The anime stars:

  • Kōhei Yanagi as Junnosuke Tachibana (unvoiced in the original game)
  • Minori Ozawa as Hinami Watarai (voiced by Shino Amekawa in the original game)
  • Shizuka Ishigami as Nanase Katagiri (voiced by Hitomi Yanagi in the original game)
  • Rie Okamoto as Misaki Hotori (voiced by Nagi Koharu in the original game)
  • Ako Koaki as Asane Tachibana (voiced by Soramame. in the original game)
  • Masumi Tazawa as Tōka Reizeiin (voiced by Sakura Hanazawa in the original game)
  • Nanami Aiba as Rei Tadasugawa (voiced by Nanami Mizuno in the original game)
  • Nana Inoue as Ikuko Onabuta (voiced by Aria Kurata in the original game)

Editor's note: The original game featured voice actresses who voice adult works, and it is possible some of the same voice actresses are reprising their roles under their real names instead of pseudonyms used for 18+ works, but ANN cannot verify that information officially.

Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Vampire Dormitory, Love Flops, Happy Sugar Life) is directing the anime at Passione. Kenta Ihara (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-, Uncle From Another World, Mieruko-chan) is in charge of series composition and script, and the game's scenario writers Naoto Kurahone (Qruppo) and Yū Kamichika (Qruppo) are in charge of script supervision. Kumata is designing the characters. Ebi Curry Earl, Sasa Ikeki, Umigame, and Kashiko are composing the music. Hamedori-kun (Qruppo) is the series' general supervisor.

Shiravune has released Nukitashi in other languages besides Japanese, and it describes the game:

NUKITASHI, which first launched Qruppo's explosive popularity in the visual novel scene, follows the story of the anti-copulation resistance fighters of No Love No Sex in their fight to bring down the draconian Pervert Law and its sex-crazed proponents on Seiran Island. Equal parts eccentric, humorous, and action packed, NUKITASHI remains beloved and highly acclaimed among Japanese fans, and took home the prize for Best Scenario—as well as Best New Brand—in 2018's annual Moe Game Awards.

Qruppo launched the game as an adult title in 2018. Shiravune began offering the game on Windows via the Johren service (as an 18+ title) and also on Steam in June 2023. Qruppo released the Nukitashi 2 sequel game in 2019, and Shiravune released the sequel on February 16.

Mameojitan launched a manga adaptation of the game on Beaglee's Manga Ōkoku service in 2020, and then began serializing the manga in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in 2021.
