Takeshi Oda (Yurumates3Dei, Onee-chan ga Kita) is adapting the character designs for animation, and Ryo Sakai (Glass Maiden, Kino's Journey, Ceres, Celestial Legend) and Crunch All Stars are composing the music. Serena Kozuki will perform both the opening theme song "Tenchi Muyo!" and the ending theme song "Shake the DiCE."

The OVA's first Blu-ray Disc volume is slated for November 30.

The new OVA will be the first entry in the OVA series in 11 years since last episode of the third OAV debuted in 2005.
