The official website for the My Hero Academia anime series began streaming the first promotional video on Sunday for the anime's second season.
The anime had announced a second season in June. The new season will cover the U.A. Sports Festival arc of Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga.
The anime's first season of 13 episodes premiered on the MBS /TBS channel on April 3. Funimation streamed the series in Japanese with English subtitles in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland as it aired in Japan. The company also streamed a Broadcast Dub.
Horikoshi's original manga also inspired an event anime that screened in Tokyo on November 27 and then in four other Japanese cities on Saturday. The anime will ship on DVD in Japan with a limited edition of the 13th volume the manga on April 4.
Horikoshi launched the superhero manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, and Shueisha published the 11th compiled volume in Japan on November 4. Viz Media is publishing the manga digitally in its Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and in print. The company released the manga's sixth compiled volume in English on November 1.
