Manga inspired Madhouse TV anime, PS Vita game in 2014

The March issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine announced on Wednesday that Sou Hamayumiba's Hanayamata (stylized as HaNaYaMaTa) manga will end in the magazine's next issue in February.

Crunchyroll streamed the manga's anime adaptation, and it describes the story:

Naru is a high school girl who is average in every way. She loves fairy tale heroines, though she's never had the courage to escape her ordinary life. One day, she sees Hannah, a transfer student, dancing in the moonlight and becomes inspired to learn Yosakoi dancing.

Hamayumiba launched the manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward in 2011, and Houbunsha published the manga's ninth compiled book volume last June. The manga inspired a television anime by Madhouse in 2014. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series, and released it with an English dub on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in January 2016. The manga also inspired a PlayStation Vita game in 2014.
