posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Tokyo MX announced on March 2 that it will air a television anime adaptation of QUAN/MMDGP's Usagi no Matthew (Matthew the Rabbit) manga in April. The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on April 5 at 9:54 p.m within the channel's "Animal Gekijō" block, and it will also air on other channels.
The story centers on Matthew, a daydreaming worrywart of a rabbit. Matthew also has two friends: Keron, a pessimistic frog who is fond of good-luck charms; and Ham, a hamster of few words and who moves through life at his own pace. The story follows the three animals' everyday lives within a mysterious forest.
The anime stars Ayana Taketatsu as Matthew, Satomi Akesaka as Ham, and Chihiro Kawakami as Keron.
Jun Kanzaki (Chobitto-Zukan, Tama & Friends: Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka?) is the animation director for the show at Kachidoki Studio. Hiroshi Izawa (CoCO & NiCO, Tama & Friends: Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka?) is writing the scripts. Dax Production is in charge of sound production. Masakatsu Oomuro (Miss Bernard said., Danchigai) is the sound director.
QUAN/MMDGP launched the manga in the February issue of Shufu to Seikatsu Sha's Nene magazine on January 15.
