New York Comic Con to Host Beck's Harold Sakuishi

Kodansha Comics announced on Wednesday that Harold Sakuishi will attend New York Comic Con (NYCC) this year. He will receive the Harvey Awards International Spotlight Award, which was first awarded last year to Hiro Mashima.
Kodansha Comics and Comixology publish Sakuishi's Beck and Seven Shakespeares (7-nin no Shakespeare) manga digitally. Beck has inspired a television anime and a live-action film.
The convention will take place at the Javits Center on October 4-7. NYCC is partnering with Anime Expo to host the "Anime Fest @ NYCC x Anime Expo" event as part of the convention this year. Other Japanese guests will include Cowboy Bebop character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto, screenwriter Keiko Nobumoto, and mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane, as well as Dragon Ball Super: Broly director Tatsuya Nagamine and voice actress Masako Nozawa.
