Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Film's Trailer Reveals Yuka Iguchi Theme Song

posted on by Karen Ressler
New visual also revealed for film opening on February 15 in Japan

The official website for the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka: Arrow of the Orion) anime film unveiled a promotional video, key visual, theme song information, and theater locations on Monday. Yuka Iguchi, who performed the opening songs for the original television anime and its Sword Oratoria spinoff, is performing the theme song "Onaji Sora no Shita de," which is previewed in the new video below.

The film will open in at least 43 theaters in Japan on February 15. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the film and will release it in U.S. theaters.

Maaya Sakamoto is voicing a new character named Artemis for the film.

The main cast members who are returning from the television series include:

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Bell Cranell

Inori Minase as Hestia

Maaya Uchida as Liliruca Arde

Yoshimasa Hosoya as Welf Crozzo

Sōma Saitō as Hermes

However, Katsushi Sakurabi (Flying Witch, Heaven's Memo Pad, Lostorage incited WIXOSS), an episode director on the television anime, is directing the film at J.C. Staff instead of the television anime's series director Yoshiki Yamakawa. Fujino Ōmori, the author of the original light novel series, is writing the screenplay instead of the television anime's staff writers. Shigeki Kimoto is once again adapting Suzuhito Yasuda's original character designs for animation. Keiji Inai is composing the music as he did for the television anime, and Warner Brothers is distributing the film in Japan.

The returning staff members also include:

EGG FIRM and SB Creative are producing.

J.C. Staff adapted the novels into a television anime in 2015. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for North America, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Ōmori and illustrator Kiyotaka Haimura's Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria spinoff light novel series inspired an anime that premiered in April 2017. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime under the title Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side and simulcasted the series in the United States on Amazon's now-defunct Anime Strike streaming service.

Yen Press is releasing both the original novel series and Sword Oratoria, as well as their respective manga adaptations, in North America.
