Cells at Work! Anime Wins Chinese Magnolia Awards for Best Storytelling

The Shanghai Television Festival awarded the Cells at Work! television anime with the Best Storytelling Award in the animation category for the festival's Magnolia Awards on June 18.
The first television anime aired from July to September last year. Aniplex of America has licensed the series and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. A new anime episode aired in December and Crunchyroll also streamed the episode. The television anime will receive a second season.
Kodansha Comics is publishing Akane Shimizu's original manga in English.
Kenichi Suzuki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Drifters) directed the television anime at david production, and Yuuko Kakihara (Tsuki ga Kirei, Persona 4 The Animation) was in charge of series composition, and both Suzuki and Kakihara penned the scripts.
