GIRLFRIEND, m-flo perform new theme songs

This year's 31st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed the new theme song artists on Monday for the Black Clover anime. Four-member band GIRLFRIEND will perform the show's new opening theme song "sky & blue," and m-flo will perform the new ending theme song "against all gods." The new ending will debut on July 2, and the new opening will debut on August 6.

Additionally, the magazine announced on Monday that the franchise is getting a new series of anime shorts (visual seen below) titled Mgyūtto! Black Clover. The shorts, featuring the characters in super-deformed form, will stream only on dTV in Japan and will premiere on July 1 at 10:00 p.m. Gakuto Kajiwara and Nobunaga Shimazaki will perform the anime shorts' theme song "Possible" under the unit name Clover x Clover.

The main anime premiered in Japan in October 2017. The show was originally listed with 51 episodes, but it continued into a new season with episode 52 last October. The anime recently entered a new arc that focuses on a great battle of humans vs. elves. Seiko Ōmori is performing the current opening theme song "JUSTadICE," and THE CHARM PARK are performing the current ending theme song "Hana ga Saku Michi" (The Path of Blooming Flowers).

Crunchyroll is streaming the series in Japanese with English subtitles, and Funimation is streaming the show's English dub. The show debuted on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block in December 2017.

Tatsuya Yoshihara (Monster Musume, Yatterman Night, Muromi-san, Long Riders!) is directing the anime at Studio Pierrot. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Is the order a rabbit?, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Yatterman Night) is handling the series composition. Itsuko Takeda (Ristorante Paradiso, Level E, Blue Drop) is the character designer and Kumiko Tokunaga (2nd season of Kingdom) is the sub-character designer. Minako Seki (The Silver Guardian, both seasons of Kingdom) is composing the music.
