Japanese Film Festival Screens Belle, Blue Thermal, Inu-Oh Films in the Philippines

The Japan Foundation, Manila announced the films and screening schedules on Wednesday for this year's Japanese Film Festival in the Philippines. The film festival will screen in various locations and dates in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Negros, Iloilo, and Nabunturan. The film festival will run from January 20 to February 22, and the full schedule is available on the film festival's website. The screening includes the following films:
- BELLE (Ryū to Sobakasu no Hime)
- Blue Thermal
- INU-OH
- Live-action Anime Supremacy! (Haken Anime!) film
The event will also have screenings of the Every Day a Good Day (Nichi Nichi Kore Kōjitsu), Intolerance (Kūhaku), Blue, And So the Baton is Passed (Soshite, Baton wa Watasareta), In The Wake, (Mamorarenakatta Mono-tachi e), and Lesson in Murder (Shikei ni Itaru Yamai) films.
BELLE opened in Japan in July 2021. The film had IMAX screenings in 38 theaters throughout Japan. This makes BELLE the first of Hosoda's films to have IMAX screenings. The film is Hosoda's highest-grossing film.
