Minori Chihara, Akino, Orcheria, More Guests Attend MMAJ Event in India

'Mela Mela! Anime Japan!!' takes place on September 13-14 at Pacific Mall Tagore Garden, New Delhi

The "Mela Mela! Anime Japan!!" (MMAJ) event has announced that it will host voice actress Minori Chihara, singer Luna Haruna, singer AKINO, musician Takayoshi Tanimoto, and singer/songwriter Daisuke Hasegawa.

The musical unit Orcheria from the voice cast of the Princession Orchestra original anime will perform for the first time outside of Japan at the event. The event will also feature a stall for the anime as well as a special screening.

The event will take place on September 13 and 14 at Pacific Mall Tagore Garden, New Delhi.

Chihara debuted as a voice actress and singer in 2004. She is best known for playing Yuki Nagato in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Chiaki Minami in Minami-ke. She has also performed theme songs for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Beyond the Boundary, Violet Evergarden, and Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, among many others.

Haruna has provided theme songs for anime such as Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, Sword Art Online, and Fate/Zero. She launched her Lunamaria brand of wedding dresses in 2016.

AKINO debuted with her brothers Akashi and Aiki and her sister Kanasa in the band Bless4, with the single "Good Morning! Mr.Sunshine." AKINO made her solo debut with the "Genesis of Aquarion" and "Go Tight" singles (Genesis of Aquarion opening themes), both composed by Yōko Kanno. She has since then performed several songs for anime shows, including "A Chance to Shine" for Oban Star-Racers, and "Miiro" for Kantai Collection -Kan Colle-, as well as "Kokuhaku" for Aquarion: Myth of Emotions.

Tanimoto has performed multiple theme songs for the Dragon Ball Z Kai anime. He has performed theme songs for the Digimon Adventure: anime as well as composed and arranged several insert songs for it.

Hasegawa performed a theme song for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable anime. He has also performed a theme song and an insert song for Gundam: Reconguista in G anime.

Last year's MMAJ event took place at Pacific Mall Tagore Garden, New Delhi on September 28 and September 29. The event screened seven anime films including Suzume and Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
