Muse Asia Licenses Re:Monster Season 2, A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai Anime

Muse Asia announced last week that it has licensed the second season of the Re:Monster anime, the A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai anime, and the The Fated Magical Princess: Who Made Me a Princess Chinese animated series.

The returning cast members for the second season of the television anime of Kogitsune Kanekiru's Re:Monster light novel series include:

The novels' anime adaptation premiered in April 2024. Muse Asia streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Kanekiru initially posted the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. AlphaPolis published the first volume in 2012, and the ninth volume in 2017. Yamaada illustrates the novels. Hanashi Media will publish the novels in English.

AlphaPolis serializes Haruyoshi Kobayakawa's ongoing manga adaptation monthly on its website, and will release the 13th compiled book volume on Friday. Seven Seas publishes the manga adaptation, and will publish the 12th volume in English in January 2026. Seven Seas describes the manga's story:

Tomokui Kanata has suffered an early death, but his adventures are far from over. He is reborn into a fantastical world of swords and magic-- as a lowly goblin! Not content to let this stop him, the now renamed “Rou” uses his new physical abilities and his old memories to plow ahead in a world where consuming other creatures allows him to acquire their strengths and powers.

Muse Asia will debut the television anime of Masuo Kinoko's A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai (Sozai Saishuka no Isekai Ryokōki) light novel series on Monday, September 29 at 11:30 GMT +8 in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Vietnam, Pakistan. Muse Asia will debut the anime later on October 13 at 11:30 GMT +8 in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Aside from the Muse Asia YouTube channel, Muse Asia will also make the series available streaming on bilibili, iQIYI, FPTPlay, My-TV, Transvision, Vidio, meWATCH, and CatchPlay.

The series will debut first streaming in Japan, with the stream on U-NEXT debuting on September 29 at 24:30 (effectively September 30 at 12:30 a.m.). The series will then debut on television in Japan on Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 6 at 24:00 (effectively October 7 at 12:00 a.m.).

The anime will star:

Yoshinori Odaka (40-Shūnen da yo! Coro Coro All-Star Shōgakkō is directing the anime at the studios Tatsunoko Production and Synergy SP. Gigaemon Ichikawa (Chikasugi Idol Akae-chan, Black Torch) is in charge of the series scripts, and Mayumi Watanabe (Happy Seven, Taisho Otome Fairy Tale) is designing the characters. GENCO is producing the series. Hiroshi Takaki (Witchy Precure! and other Precure entries, AKB0048, Butt Detective) is composing the music.

Nornis will perform the opening theme song "Prologue," and rock duo NAKIGOTO will perform the ending theme song "Mugen Trip."

Alpha Manga publishes the manga adaptation in English and describes the story:

Takeru Kamishiro is a normal guy with an ordinary office job, but finds himself summoned to another world. Takeru starts his new life in "Madeus", a world with swords and magic, fully equipped with multiple skills! Not only does he have enhanced physical and amazing magic abilities, but also the power to "search" for valuable items. With the cheat skills he's been provided, Takeru starts his new adventure in the new isekai!!

Kinoko launched the light novel series on the AlphaPolis platform in December 2017. AlphaPolis shipped the 17th volume on September 12. The series has 1.73 million copies in circulation (including digital copies), and it won both the grand prize and the readers' choice award in the 9th AlphaPolis Fantasy Novel Prizes.

Tomozo draws the manga adaptation of the story. AlphaPolis shipped the first compiled book volume in November 2018 and published the eighth volume in August 2024.

Muse Asia began streaming the Chinese-animated adaptation of writer Plutus and illustrator Spoon's Who Made Me a Princess (Japanese version title: Aru Hi, Ohime-sama ni Natteshimatta Ken ni Tsuite) webtoon on September 29 at 12:00 a.m. The series is available in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam via the Muse Asia YouTube channel, and Transvision,  meWATCH, and CatchPlay services.

Chinese streaming platform iQIYI produces the series. The series premiered streaming in Japan on September 28, and will be followed by a nationwide TV broadcast beginning October 1.

Daoko performs the series' opening theme song "Ii yo" (Alright) and XAI will perform the ending theme song "Sono Hitomi de" (In Those Eyes).

The webtoon follows Athanasia, a modern woman who suddenly wakes up in the body of a princess destined to be executed from a romance novel she once read. Determined to survive, she must navigate palace intrigue, win over her tyrant father Claude, and carve out a new future.

The series has surpassed 200 million views online and sold over 2.2 million copies in print (including digital editions). It also ranked at #2 on AnimeJapan's 2022 "Manga We Want To See Animated" poll and at #7 on the 2023 ranking.
