Actually, WB as well as UPN will be discontinued in September, so you should say it's the new Kids CW network or My Kids Network TV.

Except that the official name for the block will be "Kid's WB on The CW".

Well, still, anything they would do to it today would destroy it. |

It is quite sad that Anime is beginning to drop out from many networks. I guess the industry just doesnt get enough money any more due to the low DVD sales and such. I hear so many bad rumors about companies not doing too well..
We need to unite and help the industry grow!! |

Tom and Jerry kids? It's been destroyed. The originals were award winning. Anything after that were cash-ins and/or just really sucked.
No, the industry needs to GROW UP. These companies are constantly aiming way too low and we get these terrible edits. They take a show that is more aimed at teens+ and tailor it for toddlers. Anime lends itself perfectly to the teen/tween audience. |

Here's an image each from the New Scooby-Doo and Tom & Jerry cartoons.

Actually, I have to agree with Ataru. There are a few shorts where Tom is verbal. I've seen him chatting it up with his male buddies and singing a love song to that fancy white girl cat. However, those are rare occurances and the movie was billed as "the first time Tom & Jerry speak" in the commercials as well as in the movie itself. I don't see why they have to keep reinventing things. For example, couldn't they have done something similar to Loonatics Unleashed and leave the Looney Tunes characters/designs out of it? I mean, they could have made some weird Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Superhero mix going by having the uh... whatever triggered their superpowers just mutate some wildlife instead if they really wanted animal based characters. It's like they just wanted established personalities so they'd have less work or something. There's plenty of series that are similar to each other already out there, if you're not going to be creative with something different and new, what's another similar series then? And is it just me, or does that summary for the new Scooby Doo series sound really dumb what with the transforming Scooby Snacks? That sounds like there's doing a little reinventing over there too. I personally don't like Scooby Doo, but in all honesty, haven't there really been enough new series of that? I mean, didn't Kids WB have a new series of that a few seasons ago? Complete with unsolved mysteries you had to call/email in the answer to for next week? |

Good God! but the Scoody-Doo animation looks cheap and cheesey as all get out! The Tom & Jerry looks all right, but then what are the storylines going to be like?
Exactly! |
