We could try to race them in wasting money?  Yeah, I know it's an unwinnable battle... I'm sure once the buzz from Shin Mazinger wears off, depression land will come a knockin' once more! But it really does suck when everyone else seems to be getting the shows and merchandise THEY want and I have to wait for cons, to go to that tiny, itty, bitty corner in the back where the blood STILL burns hot and SRWOG Models are plentiful! I'd say it wasn't really their fault, but after Dancougar got Moefied, my forgiveness is running a little low...

Moeblobs get 5-6 series a season at the minimum, If we get 3 mecha series a year, it's a miracle. And you're going to love what Toei has planned for Robot Girls...

Oh dear. I wasn't a huge fan of the franchise before Shin Mazinger aired (I caught the 7 episode "Mazinkaiser" a few months before, but nothing else) but even I could tell that with the exception of the prologue, the entire episode was one linear story. The title of the episode ("Grand Finale") and climactic tone made it clear that the narrative started at the end of the story, so I knew I wasn't supposed to know the circumstances and characters, and the writers were helpful enough to include expository dialogue at the beginning of each new scene to let us know how it related to the preceeding one (e.g. at the beginning of the episode Pygman attacks the lab, then when it cuts to the next scene the first line is "blah blah we just got word Pygman is attacking the lab"), so there was a logical flow between them. It was definitely fast paced, introduced a lot of characters and was clearly withholding information from us, but the plot thread itself should've been pretty simple and easy to follow. EDIT: Oh and the animation WAS bad in the first episode. Really choppy (even in important scenes) and a few off-model faces. I expected more considering the big names involved. |

Yeah, I saw that. :p I don't know if I should laugh for cry!
:EDIT: Oh and the animation WAS bad in the first episode. Really :choppy (even in important scenes) and a few off-model faces. I :expected more considering the big names involved. Really? The only things that stuck out to me were the shots where they were trying to give the show to look like one of Go Nagai's manga covers with water colors and stuff. As for the face distortion, that's a classic Go Nagai effect so that was probably done on purpose. |

I know about face distortion, I just mean there were some low detail/badly drawn faces here and there.
Note that I do like Shin Mazinger, visually, a lot. It has clever directing, a great art style and character designs and lots of epic imagery. The problem is the low number of frames, which is below what I'd expect from a regular anime let alone a revival of what I thought was one of Japan's biggest series. |

I want to apologies in advance if I seem to come off impolite or unprofessional but I just got surgery on my hand and it HURTS like hell…
I am the Owner, Founder, and President of the United States Department of Lolicon and Acting Interim Director for the Lolicon Defense Task Force. Now that introduction is over, lets get started shall we? The USDL is a real org. I am a real person. Everything I say is true. I won’t say it, if its not true. I published poll results that are good and bad for the Loli-Community. I tell people things that could get me arrested. I admitted to everybody I know and see that I am a Lolicon Fan. WHY IN THE HELL WOULD I LIE ON THE INTERNET TO PEOPLE I DONT EVEN KNOW?! I mean I have been in to Lolicon since I was 13(When I started high School). I’ve been defending it for 1 year. I have an I.Q. of 126. I get paid at least $1,000/month. I’ve been on TV(3 times) & Radio(a few). I run 7 websites and nearly 300 members. I have nothing to prove(?), no reason to lie, and I damn sure don’t have any Monetary Benefits in creating the USDL. I am questioning the Answer Mans credibility. Note, he never gave an answer. I don’t have much against the answer man, except his role in the cancelation of Kodomo no Jikan in Seven Seas Entertainment. |

That's 'cause all your questions were either very, very easy to find answers to of your own accord, or just really strange. Here, I'll answer them for you. 1) Whats your Real Name? Zac Bertschy 2) What make you such an Expert in Anime?
3) Who hired you to be the "Answer Man" on the Anime News Network Zac's job title isn't 'Answer Man'. 4) What is your Collage Education(as in Deploma's Achived and/or working towards) I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that that's none of your business. What's your college education? No, not lolitology. Something which exists. 5) What is your Career? Well, it sure looks like journalism. 6) Are you Japanese or what? Yes, the 'original' version of his name is Berutuchi Zaku, this makes his opinions about Japanese cartoons slightly more correct than a mere westerner. 7) Why in the Hell do you hate "Lolicon" so much? Just like most other people, he thinks it's kind of squicky. It probably doesn't help that he made some comments on KnJ nearly two years ago and it somehow kicked up such a ginormous outcry that he's somehow considered the demon loli-persecutor of the Internets even today. Here's a two-year-old snippet which basically details what he thinks is squicky about it, though his opinions may have been revised somewhat since then.

It's real because you say it's real. However the extent as to how big this thing really is will indeed be questioned by a majority of users here, because this site is known for its credibility regarding anime news, and its userbase is for the most part is well disciplined. Also, when it's main base is located on Myspace, then it's hard to believe it that much anyway.
Most Newgrounds members turn out to be 13 when they start using that website too. And somehow they manage to look at the "adults only" flashes. So you've had menial exposure to the media. However what you're basing your beliefs on isn't really helping the cause of anime in general. We anime fans don't like to be known as pedos and that's what the mainstream liberal media will do if they were to stumble upon something like this.
He never gave an answer because the Flake doesn't require an answer. Oh, I'm sorry, he gave a nice fluffy bunny. A lot of people blame him for the cancellation of KnJ, of which I am aware, but it was ultimately Seven Seas that made that decision, not Zac. And for future references, Zac is not the main Answerman anymore. |

For one thing, your spelling needs work. For another thing, somebody said that they had to ban you from Wikipedia because you were spamming the site with your "campaigning." Third, I doubt that you seriously know Japanese. Fourth, nobody is going to take you seriously on this site. Fifth, you set yourself up for being made fun of when you tried to decry the Answerman. Unfortunately the original Answerman was back for this week, therefore we got to see how ridiculous your cause really is. |

~_~ well first of all, I was banned from wikipedia for using the discussion room to discuss Lolicon, Pedophilia, and to yell out anti-pedophile comments. second, I don’t know a lot of Japanese. Third, there are a lot of people who take my site seriously. ok?!
Let me tell you something, as I said before the USDL has nearly 300 members, 7 websites, a 2 trademarks and several copyrights. Ya haven’t said a damn RESIONIBLE thing to say why the USDL isnt credible. All ya’s reasons have been somewhat of a Ignoratio Elenchi. I've given several reasons why the USDL is credible. Ya seem to be, how should I say, Circumambienly attacking me here and that’s not fair. But then again, Child Sex Abuse is not fair, Terrorism is not fair, hell, war is not fair and we are at war! Now I will admit, I am Brobdingnagicly Bombastic, Insouciant, Arrogant as Hell, Hyper-Opinionated(That’s an understatement), Ostracistic towards Pedophiles, Dogmatic, Garrulous, Imperious, and Loquacious. But I can be Equanimit most of the time. Yes I may Gasconade to people about my site but so what. Most of the time I am Magnanimous. And just because ya seem to express Disapprobation towards me and the USDL, doesn’t mean that we are fake, not credible, or bulls***. It seems we will remain inharmonious on this and there isn’t s*** I can do to change that. But understand this, All websites start out small and doesn’t seem to be credible, but they soon become big and popular. But if ya want to be Incredulous, then fine by me. Ignorance is forever I guess. |
