I would so very much like to say that those are the most disturbing Lucky Star themed item I've seen, but unfortunately, thanks the horrors of internets, that would be a lie

Yes these are exceptionally disturbing, but belive me, I've seen much worse. A couple of months ago, a Japanese company made a condom with a anime moe character. If that isn't creepy, I don't know what the hell is. But seriously, I can only think of two groups that would actually buy this. The first one is obvious, but the second group is the group that thinks Konata is actually their wife. I wish I were, but I am not joking. There is actually people who think Konata is their wife. |

Well, that's not surprising, considering how in Kyoto you can get tokens or charms or fortunes or whatever they are that say "Konata is my wife." I'd totally buy a pair just to say HAHA I BOUGHT THEM SEE, but I'd never wear 'em. Maybe frame 'em. Or just give them to an otaku buddy and try to forget them. |

If I'm to judge Japanese culture through anime, these things are going to sell like hotcakes, given white is just too common.

Paraphrasing Mio from another, more recent KyoAni series... *curled up in a corner, hands over ears, shuddering* "I'm not hearing this, I'm not hearing this, I'm not hearing this!" I, for one, am more than a little creeped out. Now I'll never be able to see/hear the famous Lucky Star teaser trailer (where Aya Hirano purrs like a cat for 30 seconds straight, with the iconic Konata face...now prominently featured on those boxers!) the same way again! Yeah, they'll sell great in Japan...but...still...
