Give me a 2D fighter any day. Too bad there is that whole issue of "Now Loading..." I much rather, like in the good old days, skip the globe, and jump in the next fight. Need the less, I can't wait, even more for the next Street Fighter I heard is coming.

Agreed. Like you said the only connection is that a lot of anime fans are gaming fans as well. However a lot of anime fans are also fans of a lot of other 'nerdy' stuff. I'd much rather see ANN remain dedicated to anime and only anime. However I can understand why they would start reporting on gaming. ANN is a commercial site so if reporting gaming news brings more visitors to the site it makes sense. They will probably be able to attract games sponsors. I'm not looking forward to what results it may have on the forum, I don't like to generalise but I imagine with an increase in gaming fans there will be an increase of "OMG tHaT is the SUX" threads.

Geez, some of you guys should lighten up. What's the big deal with gaming news being reported? Some of you are making such a fuss about this. As long as it doesn't interfere with ANN's ability to release accurate and timely anime news it shouldn't be a problem.

Hey, if it's a genuinely anime-related game, there's no problem. The latest Naruto GameCube title, or the most recent word on Taka Tony's or Type-Moon's latest bishoujo game (Fate/hollow ataraxia ^_______^), or a breaking story on something Final Fantasy is perfectly alright, in my opinion. But branching farther out into stuff like Soul Calibur starts to create a problem, as Soul Calibur has about as much to do with anime as Halo & Grand Theft Auto: Vice City do. ANN is the Anime News Network; anime-related gaming fits the bill, but gaming in general does not.
