Woah! Are you freakin' serious!? This is the best news I've heard in such a long time! x3 Wish they would actually finish the TV series though.

I have been hoping for a reboot of the anime for years and we just might get it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE JINCHUU JINCHUU JINCHUU.
I would LOVE for the Jinchuu Arc to finally be animated. I'm not so sure I believe they would do that though... If it's not Jinchuu, they shouldn't even bother. I don't want a restart, I don't even want a fillerless "Rurouni Kenshi Kai"; All I want is the Jinchuu Arc finally animated. I'm going to cross my fingers, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE JINCHUU JINCHUU JINCHUU.

I can't wait for this. With any luck, the Enishi arc will get the treatment it deserves.

This is shocking news! This proves the old order of fandom is still around and it stands a chance of attracting new fans to the greatness that is Rurouni Kenshin.

This is really good news!
But... it also means (if this is not an OVA, which it doesn't seem to be) that anime companies aren't spending much money on risks these days.
While I was just as happy about Bortherhood and all the other recent reboots; it is a sad trend in some respects.
Still, I'm hoping for a full on reboot (since that makes the most sense to me, since I doubt they'd be able to rely on old fans alone). I can't wait to see Kenshin spazzing out again :]

So about that news about Kana Hanazawa voicing Kenshin...why it was deleted? Was that false?
Anyway, great news! 2011 is shaping up to be a good year.

(sorry to double post but the forum would not let me post correctly)
Like you said, guys, it HAS to be either just the animated version of the Jinchu arc, or pull a Brotherhood and redo the entire series. IT MUST HAPPEN! I hope that Studio Gallop and Studio Deen doesn't animate the anime this time because they sucked at it in the first series. Hopefully someone like Sunrise, Bones, TMS Entertainment, Studio Pierrot, or Toei Animation will do the animation this time. (those guys usually get the animation done right, especially Bones and Sunrise). I hope all the Japanese VAs return with the acception of Saito's VA who died some few or several years ago. For Saito, I hope they use the VA they used in the game that just came out a few months ago.
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!! >.< BRB, spazzing for the rest of the day. XDDDD

So excited! Will be happy with a filler-less reboot, or just the Enishi arc.
Although I am very sad to read here that Saitou's voice actor died a few years ago. He was my favorite character, and the fight vs. Kenshin is still one of my all time favorite anime scenes ever.
