posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

A job listing on the CG World website lists a new film project by director Ryûichi Yagi with the Shirogumi Inc. animation studio. The job listing hints at the film as a "story of swords and sorcery."

The job listings provide positions sought by both Yagi's new film project, and Shirogumi Inc.'s "new content department." The film project is listing positions for character modeling, background modeling, animators, effects, cloth simulation, lighting, and compositing. Shirogumi Inc.'s "new content department" is listing positions for animators, character modelers, background modelers, compositing, and effects.

Yagi worked on the Friends: Mononoke Shima no Naki and the Stand By Me Doraemon 3D CG films at Shirogumi Inc. He co-directed both films alongside Takashi Yamazaki (live-action Parasyte).

Shirogumi Inc. worked on 3D production for such anime as Tiger & Bunny, The Piano Forest, Antique Bakery, and Moyashimon. The company's "new content department" focuses on developing original multimedia content for the studio. The studio's first project was the 2015 anime series Etotama.
