posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The Nirvana manga by team ZOWLS, made up of writer JIN and artist Sayuki, is the subject of an new animated music video. Singer Lia performs the untitled track in the video. The video is made up of images from the manga and original images for the music video. It includes appearances from well-known characters like main character Hitose Yachiyo and Maru, and characters that haven't been revealed in the manga's story yet.
The singer previously worked with JIN on the track "Days" used as the first ending theme of the Mekaku City Actors anime series, which in turn is based on JIN's novels Kagerou Daze.
Nirvana follows Hitose Yachiyo, a girl who finds herself reincarnated into a world of magic when she dies in a plane crash. The residents of the new world hail Yachiyo as a goddess and she's tasked with defeating the "evil" of the world with her new companions. Hitose still carries a memento of her deceased mother and it ends up being an important key to her survival.
Seven Seas Entertainment will release the first volume of the manga on August 8. Kadokawa will release the third manga volume in Japan on July 27.
Sayuki is the creator behind Mikagura School Suite manga adaptation of LAST NOTE's light novels of the same name. The novels were adapted into an anime series in 2015 and FUNimation Entertainment streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
