Yuzo Takada's 3x3 Eyes manga is 30 years old (yeesh) and is getting an art exhibition to celebrate starting in January at at Tokyo Seibu Ikebukuro's main office.

The 3x3 Eyes manga first launched in 1987 and is a supernatural adventure and romance series. The story follows a young man named Yakumo Fuuji who becomes the immortal slave of the last of a race of 3 Eyed immortals. The immortal, pai, absorbs his soul to save his life, making him immortal in the process. Now, he begins a journey with pai in an attempt to find a way of becoming human again.

The exhibition will feature 200 original artwork pieces, merchandise, and autograph signings as well as a cafe collaboration.

The original manga ended in 2002 and Takada launched a sequel manga titled 3x3 Eyes: Genjū no Mori no Sōnansha (3x3 Eyes: Survivor of the Forest of Mythical Beasts) in February 2015 in Kodansha's online magazine Young Magazine Kaizokuban, and ended it after four volumes. Takada then launched 3x3 Eyes: Kiseki no Yami no Keiyakusha in Kodansha's E-Young Magazine last year. The original manga inspired two OVA adaptations in 1991 and 1995.
