posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Latest Precure film opens on March 16

The official YouTube channel for the Precure franchise began streaming a video on Sunday to help fans prepare for Eiga Precure Miracle Universe, the newest movie in the Precure franchise. In the video, Cure Star from Star ☆ Twinkle Precure teaches fans how to do the dance that the characters in the film will perform during the film's ending theme song "WINkuru! Precure Miracle Universe☆."

Yūki Kaji will guest star in the film as Yango, close adviser of the president of Planet Miracle, where Miracle Lights are made. He works as a member of the space guard. The role will be Kaji's first in the franchise.

The film will open in Japan on March 16.

The new film will be primarily set in space, and the story will reveal the secret of the "Miracle Lights," the mysterious critical items which appear frequently in the franchise's films. (The lights are distributed to children attending theatrical screenings.) Characters from Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode, Hugtto! Precure, and the newest Precure series Star ☆ Twinkle Precure will star in the film.

Kōhei Kureta and Yukio Kaizawa, who both co-directed the Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode series, are returning to co-direct the film. Isao Murayama (Eiga Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode: Paris to! Omoide no Mille-Feuille!, Maho Girls Precure!) is penning the script. Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia) and Asami Tachibana (DARLING in the FRANXX) are composing the music.

The Hugtto! Precure anime ended in January, and Star ☆ Twinkle Precure premiered on ABC and TV Asahi on February 3 in the same 8:30 a.m. timeslot.

Futari wa Precure is streaming with English subtitles on Crunchyroll and Tubi TV. Saban Brands localized two other Precure series — Smile Precure! and Dokidoki! Precure — under the titles Glitter Force and Glitter Force Doki Doki and released them on Netflix. The Glitter Force brand has since moved to Hasbro.
