Unified system to debut this summer with PASELI currency compatibilty
Bandai Namco Entertainment, Konami Amusement, and Sega Interactive announced last week that all three companies will unify their arcade IC card standards for the convenience of users, beginning this summer. All three systems will be compatible with each company's ID service.
All new cards will now come with the "Amusement IC" logo to show compatibility with the new standard. The unified standard will also be compatible with the PASELI digital currency system.
Currently, companies use different IC cards to save persistent data and progress across multiple arcade games to a user's account. Bandai Namco Entertainment uses the Bana Passport, Konami Amusement uses the e-AMUSEMENT PASS, and Sega Interactive uses Aime.
