New English trailer features Solgaleo, Lunala

The Pokémon Company International announced on Thursday that its newest season for the Pokémon anime is titled Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon—Ultra Adventures, and it will premiere on Disney XD in the United States at 9:00 a.m. EDT on March 24. Eight new episodes will air throughout that week.

The official YouTube channel for The Pokémon Company began streaming a trailer.

The Pokémon Company describes the story:

When Ash sees the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala in a dream, he makes a promise to them. But when he wakes up, he can't remember what it was! Will the strange Pokémon called Nebby help jog his memory? Along with their new friend and the rest of the students at the Pokémon School, Ash and Pikachu explore the Aether Foundation, an organization dedicated to Pokémon conservation and care. But it may not be as innocent as it seems, and Ash and his friends will have to work together to protect the people and Pokémon they care about as they face a mysterious power like nothing they have ever seen.

The previous Pokémon anime series, Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, premiered its regular weekly run in the U.S. on Disney XD in May 2017.

In Japan, there is no distinction between Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon and Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon—Ultra Adventures. The Pokémon Sun & Moon anime series premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliated stations in Japan in November 2016.

The 20th Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! (Gekijōban Pocket Monster: Kimi ni Kimeta!) film aired on Disney XD in the United States last November. Fathom Events screened the film in collaboration with The Pokémon Company International in the United States, United Kingdom, and other international markets outside of Asia earlier that month.

The 21st Pokémon film, Gekijōban Pocket Monster: Minna no Monogatari (Pokémon the Movie: Everyone's Story), will open in theaters in Japan on July 13. Lugia will appear in the film.

Update: The new season is listed for premiere on Canada's Teletoon on Saturday, March 10 at 12:30 p.m. ET. Thanks, jlaking.
