Knyacki! Stop-Motion Series Gets New Episode

NHK announced on Tuesday that a "Knyacki! Kirikabu Record" (Knyacki!: Stump Record), the 48th episode in the Kyacki! stop-motion animated series, will debut in the animation television program PuchiPuchi Anime on NHK-E (NHK Educational) on February 12 at 8:45 a.m.
In the story, the mint-green caterpillar Knyacki comes across a tree stump and plays with the caterpillar Pink-chan on top of it. A dragonfly arrives and gives Pink-chan a piggy back ride. As the dragonfly circles above the stump, something mysterious happens.
The "Knyacki!" series of stop-motion shorts from creator Yuichi Ito debuted in PuchiPuchi Anime in 1995. New five-minute episodes debut irregularly; NHK last debuted a new Knyacki! episode in January 2018.
