Pokémon GO Game Adds Unova Pokémon

Niantic confirmed on Monday that Pokémon that originally appeared in the Unova region in the Pokémon Black and Pokémon White games will launch in the Pokémon GO smartphone game today. The company began streaming an announcement video for the release.
Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, Pidove, Blitzle, and other Unova Pokémon will begin appearing in the wild. Additionally, Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, and Pidove will hatch from 2 km Eggs; Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Blitzle, Drilbur, and Foongus will hatch from 5 km Eggs; and Ferroseed, Klink, Litwick, Golett, and Deino will hatch from 10 km Eggs. Lillipup, Patrat, and Klink will be available in raids. The Shiny forms of Lillipup and Patrat will be available.
The following region-exclusive Pokémon will also debut: Pansage (Asia-Pacific), Pansear (Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India), Panpour (the Americas and Greenland), Heatmor (Western hemisphere), and Durant (Eastern hemisphere).
The Unova Stone will be available through Research Breakthroughs, and it will allow some Pokémon such as Lampent to evolve.
Niantic began adding fourth-generation Pokémon from the Sinnoh region in October 2018.
The Pokémon GO app launched in select countries including the United States in July 2016.
