Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc Anime Becomes 6th Highest-Grossing Anime Film in Korea

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, the film based on the Reze Arc of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man manga, has topped the Korean daily box office every day since October 17, as of Saturday.
The film opened in Korea on September 24. According to data from the Korean Film Council, a government agency that announces official box office rankings daily, the film has sold 2,480,011 tickets and has earned 26,355,915,450 Korean won (about US$18.31 million) as of October 25.
The film has surpassed Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train to become the sixth highest-grossing Japanese animated film in Korea.
The film opened in Japan on September 19 in 421 theaters. The film opened at #1, replacing the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle - Akaza Sairai film, which had topped the box office for nine straight weeks.
Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has acquired worldwide theatrical rights the film. The company opened the film in theaters in the U.S. and Canada on Friday.

Denji became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil's heart, and is now part of Special Division 4's devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.
