Netflix Adds From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated!, 2 More Anime in India

Muse Asia announced on Friday that Netflix will add the following anime titles in India on May 1:

• The television anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Fujitaka's My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered (Sokushi Cheat ga Saikyōsugite, Isekai no Yatsura ga marude Aite ni Naranain Desu ga.) light novel series.
• The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, the television anime of Kurokata's Chiyu Mahō no Machigatta Tsukai-kata: Senjō o Kakeru Kaifuku Yōin (The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic: Recovery Team Running Through the Battlefield) fantasy light novel series.
• The television anime adaptation of Michiro Ueyama's From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated! (Akuyaku Reijō Tensei Oji-san) manga.

My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered premiered in Japan on January 4. Muse Asia streamed the anime in India as it aired in Japan. The Muse India YouTube channel streamed it as well. The title is also available on JioHotstar and Anime Times on Amazon Prime video.

Masakazu Hishida (Fairy Ranmaru, Ensemble Stars!!, KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm) directed the anime at animation studio Okuruto Noboru. Jou Aoba (a penname for Hishida) wrote and oversaw the series scripts. Sayuri Sakimoto (Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki (OAV 5/2020) was the character designer. Music composers included Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, and Daisuke Kadowaki. Hilcrhyme performed the opening theme song "Killer Bars." Maika Sakuragi (voiced by Anna Suzuki) of the virtual girl group Utahime Dream performed the ending theme song "Haze."

Fujitaka first released the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2016 before Earth Star Entertainment began publishing it with illustrations by Chisato Naruse.

The first season of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic debuted in January 2024. Muse Asia and Crunchyroll streamed the anime in India as it aired in Japan and the latter added a Hindi dub and an English dub for it as well. The title is also available on JioHotstar and Anime Times on Amazon Prime video.

A second season for the anime is confirmed.

Takahide Ogata (Kaiketsu Zorori: Lalala♪ Star Tanjō, Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori) directed the anime at studio add and Shinei Animation. Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Quality Assurance in Another World) was in charge of series scripts, and Kenji Tanabe (BLUELOCK) designed the characters. Elements Garden (Hitoshi Fujima, Seima Kondō) composed the music.

The "slapstick isekai fantasy with gags and battles" begins when ordinary high school student Usato happens to bump into student council president Suzune and classmate Kazuki on his way home. All three are suddenly swallowed up by a magic circle and transported to another world.

The trio are summoned as heroes to save a kingdom from a demon king's army — but, only Suzune and Kazuki have what it takes to be heroes. Usato just happened to be dragged along for the ride.

However, things turn around when Usato is discovered to have the rare knowledge of a healing mage. He is abducted by a woman who identifies herself as Rose, the leader of the life-saving corps, and drafted into her ranks.

Kurokata launched the light novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in March 2014. MF Books imprint published the first volume of the novel with illustrations by KeG in March 2016, and the 12th and final volume in March 2020.

From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated! premiered on MBS and TBS and its 28 affiliate channels in the Super Animeism TURBO programming block on January 9. Muse India streamed the anime on YouTube as it aired in Japan.

Tetsuya Takeuchi (I couldn't become a hero, so I reluctantly decided to get a job. chief animation director, director of Yuri Seijin Naoko-san) directed the anime at Ajiado. Shingo Irie (scriptwriter for Golden Kamuy first four seasons, all three seasons of Log Horizon) oversaw the series scripts, Haruka Matsunae (Ascendance of a Bookworm) designed the characters, and Yuki Miyamoto (key animation for Ascendance of a Bookworm) was the monster designer. Music composers include: Natsumi Tabuchi, Misaki Tsuchida, Tsugumi Tanaka, Reiko Abe, and Kaho Sawada.

The manga centers on Kenzaburō Tondabayashi, a 52-year-old public servant who one day gets into a traffic accident. When he regains consciousness, he finds himself reincarnated into a fantasy world's academy, reborn now as the haughty Grace Auvergne, daughter of a duke.

Ueyama (Zoids, Tsumanuda Fight Town) launched the manga in Shonengahosha's Monthly Young King Ours GH magazine in March 2020.
