New Ranma 1/2 Anime Season 2's 1st Trailer Unveils More Cast, Updated Staff, October Debut

The official website for the new anime of Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2 manga posted the second season's first trailer on Sunday. The trailer announces five more cast members, the updated staff, and the October premiere for the new season.
Toshihiko Seki returns from the first Ranma 1/2 anime 32 years later to reprise the role of Mousse. The other newly announced cast members are:
- Kaori Nazuka as Ukyō Kuonji
- Kazuhiko Inoue as Happōsai
- Rin Mizuhara as Cologne
- Akira Ishida as Hikaru Gosunkugi
Most of the staff from the first season return for the second season. However, Kōsuke Kawamura joins the staff as one of the chief animation directors, and Ryūta Hayashi joins Chihiro Ōkawa on directing the art.
The new season will premiere in October on NTV and its affiliated channels, and it will exclusively stream on Netflix.
Kōichi Yamadera reprises his roles as Ryōga Hibiki and Jusenkyo Guide from the previous anime. Minami Takayama and Kikuko Inoue reprise their roles from the previous anime as Nabiki Tendō and Kasumi Tendō, respectively. Akio Ōtsuka plays the role of Sōun Tendō in the new anime, replacing Ryunosuke Ohbayashi. Chō plays the role of Genma Saotome in place of Kenichi Ogata, who is the new anime's narrator, replacing the late Tadashi Nakamura.
New cast members (not reprising roles from previous anime projects) include:
- Tomokazu Sugita as Tatewaki Kunō
- Ayane Sakura as Kodachi Kunō
- Toshiyuki Morikawa as Tōfū Ono
- Mamoru Miyano as Mikado Sanzenin
- Aoi Yūki as Azusa Shiratori
- Tomokazu Seki as Ichiro
Kōnosuke Uda (One Piece: Dead End film, DAYS) directed the new series at MAPPA. Kimiko Ueno (Delicious in Dungeon, Astro Note) is in charge of series scripts, and Hiromi Taniguchi (Kurage no Shokudō) is designing the characters. Ano is performing the anime's opening theme song "Iinazukekkyun." Singer-songwriter Riria. is performing the anime's ending theme song "Anta Nante."
Twelve episodes of the new anime were leaked last August.
