Nanaki Nanao's Völundio ~Divergent Sword Saga~ Manga Resumes on December 8

Manga author Nanaki Nanao announced on Monday that their Völundio ~Divergent Sword Saga~ (Iken Senki Völundio) manga will resume serialization on December 8.

Nanao announced earlier in May that the manga would take a break to maintain the manga's quality and in consideration of their health. They had planned to resume in August or September. Nanao posted an update on August 22 stating that they are in good health and can currently write at a comfortable pace. The decision to resume the manga on December 8 is due to the stock of manuscripts, proximity of works on the manga's compiled book volumes, and Nanao's health, among others.

The manga's first part ended in November 2023, along with the announcement that the manga would take a long break to prepare for the second part and improve Nanao's physical condition, which had been deteriorating. The manga resumed and started its second part in December 2024. 

Nanao launched the manga with a prologue chapter on Shogakukan's Manga ONE service in August 2020. Shogakukan published the manga's eighth compiled book volume on March 12. The manga ranked #18 in the eighth "Next Manga Awards" (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō) web manga category in 2022.

Nanao began serializing the fantasy manga Helck on the Manga ONE and Ura Sunday services in 2014, and ended it in 2017. Shogakukan published the manga in 12 volumes. Viz Media is releasing the manga in English.

The manga's anime adaptation premiered in Japan in July 2023, and aired for a continuous two cours, for a half-year run. HIDIVE streamed the series as it aired.
