Wistoria: Wand and Sword Reveals Heroic Season 2 Teaser Visual and Worldwide Premiere in April 2026

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Sept. 8, 2025 - Will's fate-defying saga resumes in Season 2 of the acclaimed fantasy battle-action anime Wistoria: Wand and Sword premiering worldwide in April 2026. Based on the manga by Fujino Ōmori (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) and rising manga artist Toshi Aoi, Wistoria: Wand and Sword follows the story of Will, a young boy who dares to challenge a magic-dominated world armed with nothing but a single sword. After its first season aired in July 2024 on Crunchyroll to widespread acclaim for its stunning action sequences, the highly anticipated Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 is officially set to premiere in April 2026.
Tatsuya Yoshihara returns as the Chief Director for Season 2, known for his work as director of Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 1, animation director of Chainsaw Man, and director of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. Hideaki Nakano, who served as assistant director on Classroom For Heroes, joins as the director of the upcoming season. Bandai Namco Pictures and Actas will continue their joint production of the series, with key staff from Season 1 returning including character designer Sayaka Ono (CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon) and composer Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia).
In anticipation of the new season, a teaser visual for Season 2 has been released, showing Will standing resolutely with his sword against the backdrop of a starry tower and a ruined city.
