Thanks for clearing that up. I suppose that the above two should be merged as "Bolton", and this entry: Z. Charles BOLTON should be connected to Zach Bolton as "Also known as". |

Here's some more FUNimation duplicates:
Juli ERICKSON Juli ERIKSON (misspelling) Assuming the first is correct in this case because it was corrected from "Julie Erikson" to "Juli Erickson" in the FMA credits on AS. I also see it spelled as such here. Sean MICHAEL TEAGUE (should be "Sean Michael TEAGUE"? Looks like "Michael" is just a middle name there) Sean TEAGUE (shortened) |

Tomoko KONPARU (seemingly more correct, has more credits)
Tomoko KOMPARU (alternate romanization) Yayoi OTAKE Yayoi OHTAKE The first one was, er, first, and has more credits so I'd just go with it. The name can be read Ootake/Ohtake or Otake anyway, so either is right. Coharu SAKURABA (correct) Koharu SAKURABA (alternate romanization) The first one is how the author's name is written on the manga, so it seems they prefer the "C" version. Kinda like Chieco Kawabe (though we have her as Chieko) or Rica Matsumoto. |

WRONG: Tetsuaki Genda (17661) Alternate readings of 哲章 |

Hisatoshi MOTOKI (correct)
Motoki HISATOSHI (wrong order, despite the many entries to this o_O) 本木久年 is how it's written. and ... Hisashi MOTOTOKI .. for some reason I have a feeling he's the same guy. |

Not a duplicate, but one that needs to be (it seems):
Satoshi Hashimoto and Tomoko Kawakami both have random staff roles, and I really don't think it was the actors that did them. The name kanji and all other information for both of them relate to the actor. I wish I knew the kanji of the people who did the staff work though. =/ |

Could someone split Hiroyuki Kaidou up, one is the guy who did the original work for Onmyou Taisenki (海童博行 according to http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/onmyo-taisenki/), the other one did key animation in Eureka 7 (海堂浩幸 according to the TV credits). Thanks.
(BTW EmperorBrandon, you rock for having a Fakir avatar!) |

Thanks! Fakir is awesome. He's definitely my favorite male character in anime. |

I have Tenchi Movie 2, so I can check on that staff role for Tomoko. It's got alternate angles for the ending credits. |

I don't think the manga artist and animator are the same people. ; Dunno the animator, but the manga artist's kanji are 酒井 美羽 |

I have the same problem as Michi--two people with the same phonetic name, in this case Hiroyuki Takei. I don't believe the manga-ka is the same as the composer for Homeroom Affairs. It seems likely that the latter is also this person (see also here), whose works apparently include a number of games:among others. However, I don't know how the Encyclopedia deals with such problems--does each person get assigned an ordinal number (I, II, III, etc.) as in the Internet Movie Database?

AFAIK the encyclopedia differentiates them by having their role in parantheses like Yuuko Satou (voice actress), Yuuko Satou (colour designer), etc.
I don't know what happens when 2 people who do the same thing have the same name but are different people. Then it becomes very difficult, but since it's a problem in Japanese listings usually in some interview or another they tell you how to differentiate, like for Ai Maeda, there's two of them with the same kanji and they both do voice work. But one is older and the other is younger so from there you can figure it out. |

Yuji MOTOYAMA is a pseudonym of Yuji MORIYAMA, mostly used for work on Cream Lemon. See page 71, column 2 (the Pop Chaser paragraph) of The Anime Encyclopedia.

I'm wondering if Yukari Homma is really Yukari Honma?
