With the constant rise of the isekai stories, we might get more balanced representation if we could get at least a few female-lead isekai anime a season (like at least 3-5/season). For LN/WN/manga titles, given the constant amount debuting each year, that same number applies (12-20/year).

On average there is about 1 isekai show per season. The previous season had zero isekai shows but it did have three male idol shows, two reverse harem shows, and two high school romance shows. Also while there are a few isekai light novels with female protagonists only a handful have sales numbers high enough to get an anime adaptation. There are a lot of fantasy stories made for the shoujo market but most of them take the Twilight route of fantasy elements but in the real world.
