That's a nice grab box!
But now that the contents are posted I'm in the weird position of being glad that I didn't win. Out of the items listed I already have 10 (14 of the 29 DVDs), and of the others there are only two DVDs left that I actually want (and of those I want one with the [not-included] art box). Knowing how badly some people wanted this I would have felt really guilty to win  but I imagine I could have told them to give it to someone else if it had happened.

well i cant say that im jumpin for joy or nothing but that box wasnt that impressive..but to those who did win congradulations and have fun watchin your new anime

And hopefully you'd get it too.... Well, My ever present bitterness aside. Black Cat Volume 6 was on of the Prizes? Out of all the DVDs the person can get, its the one that should be avoided like the plague? |

That's funny that the only DVDs here that I don't own are Robotech, Afro Samurai Spike version (I bought the director's cut), Peach Girl, Shinobi, and Yu Yu. Then again I'm only missing 13 Funimation titles (add Baki, Case Closed, Desert Punk, Dragon Ball, Glass Fleet, Negima, One Piece, Ragnorok, and Sakura Taisen movies) , so 5 of the 13 is actually a pretty high ratio. Then again I don't have any interest in Shinobi, Robotech or edited Afrfo Samurai.
I'm not really sure which Funimation titles (if any) I should get next. I'm leaning towards the new Negima box set and Peach Girl which will hopefully have a box set since I'm not a big fan of long running shounen action series. Glass Fleet looks interesting, but got terrible reviews. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and complete my Funimation collection next time TRSI has a Funi sale. |

I'm with you on Glass Fleet. I usually find that if nobody (or well, certain select groups of people, really) aren't talking about a series, it's a pretty good indication I won't like it, though, so after picking up a couple of series and finding that they were, after all, pretty bad, I let Glass Fleet go. I might change my mind in the future.
I'm a little astounded at the general "that was a sucky box" comments. There were a small handful of things in there that I didn't have, most of which I wasn't interested in in the first place, but still- I wouldn't have minded the Rumbling Hearts set and some other things, and I certainly could have found homes for the stuff I already had. I'm thinking vaguely of buying a copy of Mushshi v. 1 with the artbox and giving away the extra copy, just because I know people who would like it. (And yeah, I want the art box now...) I guess I understand assuaging the disappointment of not winning or whatever, but I would have been happy with it even if I ended up sending half of it to the Gamestop. |

1. Bitterly comment about how you didn't win 2. Disparage or insult the prize offered 3. Cast aspersions on the selection process All worthwhile comments, to be sure! Locking this up. Nothing left to say. We had a contest, some people won, that's it. |

Oh,well it's would have made much of a difference either way because I never win anything anyway. Well,congrats to the winners.
