I dont think it's"hardcore" enough to be considered Hentai but it's definitely Ecchi it also has the distinction of being the only anime that has caused me to dry heave while watching the first episode.

I've watched and read the show and its different
 its exerteme ecchi but very mild hentai i guess but  i think it should be a combonation called hencchi

Once again, realize this thread was originally about the OVA that preceded the series and will still apparently have periodic further installments with special editions of the manga releases. It is much more explicit... but still short of Hentai. The Christmas episode just barely. spoiler[They go to a Karaoke place and are accidentally given Long Island Ice Teas instead of regular teas. Keita ends up in the toilet with one of them, wiping her after she pees and makes out with the other one, taking off her top, playing with her breasts, has her bitie his tongue and he very nearly sticks a finger where the sun don't shine.] So yeah, the TV is ecchi, but it pales slightly to the OVA. |

I vote for the third option forgitible trash
 but serioslly I think it's more Ecchi hentai as a rule is way more explicit something like Bible Black is a hundred times more explecet then Kiss X Sis but there both equally disturbing IMO

LOL!!! Ok, just to inform you guys, it's a myth that ecchi <<< hentai. Sure, ecchi is a softer way of saying hentai, just like saying someone saying F-something something rather saying the full F-word out loud. But other than that, ecchi == hentai!!! 'Ecchi' is the way Japanese pronounce the English alphabet 'H', which is used as the short-form for 'Hentai' in Japanese colloquialism.

And you thought we were unaware of that.  The word "ecchi" started that way, but now it is much softer. If a girl calls a boy "ecchi" -- particularly at a beach, pool, or anywhere else where revealing attire is expected -- people would not be alarmed and would see them as a couple or at least "more than just ordinary friends" (tomodachi ijō 友達以上). However, if she says "hentai" then he'll probably be arrested at the spot.

Ecchi does not equal Hentai. Hentai means there is going to be some graphic depiction of sex with all the naughty bits drawn, maybe blurred. Ecchi does not guarantee sex and if there is sex nothing below the waist is actually shown on screen. If anime themes were based on the American film rating system, hentai would be XXX and ecchi would be rated PG13 to R. |

I would like to agree. But I do love watching the series mainly for the humor, and I honestly think I like the OVA more (yay for episode 5  ) .

Instead of being concerned about whether it is hentai or ecchi, you should just be concerned with how awesome it is.
In regards to the OP though, I think its ecchi stopping just sort of hentai. Plus, it doesn't focus solely on the sexual aspects the whole time... |

I thought Kiss X Sis was brilliant for what it was under the hardcore ecchi genre.
To me the story about it being a fake incest, of two sisters loving her step brother is actually just a side story. This show is really about showing off various fetishes, and not showing off random ecchi content. The most brilliant of all was the Tutoring episode! It still cracks me up everytime. Because how well it maintained its storyline I gave it a 7. Which believe that is no insult! The 3 missing points are just because what the show it mainly. Censored smut. But 7 is incredibly good for an ecchi. |

the show actually did cross the line especially the hot tub scene when he's drugged by the aphrodisiac and he goes down on one and breast feeds from the other.
but that aside the only reason it seems more than common ecchi is mostly because the two girls do more than fondle other girls breasts and turn red at the idea of a kiss like the run of the mill ecchi series. |
