Find it interesting to see people not liking the cover. I mean, I'm not a fan of it either. But, I always thought I was rather conservative with what I'd be comfortable on a cover for an anime or a manga...yet I have little issue with the fanservice on this manga's cover.

I guess the line I drew with Sentai's release of Hentai Prince and Stony Cat wasn't much of a line...Laughing

Interesting review. Personally, I don't mind fanservice, if there is an actual story behind it all. Will be keeping on eye on this series.

When I see the picture of the link on the side of ANN that goes to this article, it looks like she's grabbing a pole.

The English release date isn't for another 3 weeks, how on Earth did ANN get ahold of a copy? Confused

Most likely it is the manga version of a screener.

^Precisely. It varies by publisher - some send them really early, others around release time. This one happened to come early.

Because if that alone is enough to turn you off from engaging with a series rather than things like the actual writing or art therein then you have rather high standards.

I think the authenticity of a story suffers immensely from pointless fanservice. So I'm rather consuming something without a story or without good writing that has fanservice than something with good writing that is diminished by fanservice.

Of course I'm most likely to consume something that has no fanservice at all, or at least doesn't take itself seriously. Then again, I'm not especially keen to read a light novel at all. (The first two volumes of Spice & Wolf I read were pretty pleasant, though, and also well-written.)

Do you have a link to a retailer that has it? All the major ones have it listed as pre-order or not at all.

@TheFullmetalOne, other than the occasional store that got its shipment already and shelved the book early, you aren't going to find it available until the official release date. Publishers have copies of their books sent to blogs and websites that post reviews (such as ANN), so that the reviewers have a chance to read and write about the book ahead of its official release, to build anticipation and help customers know they can look for it in stores soon.

(some additional info: books are actually printed a couple/few weeks ahead of their official release date. those official dates are determined with a cushion of spare time, so the books can be distributed to retailers around the country.)
