Given that Ani-Expo exists, this really says way more about the Oscars than it does about Anime shorts. Just like Ghandi not getting a Nobel Peace Prize says more about the Nobel Prize than about Ghandi.

If anyone wants some advice,I'd like to give it. Although it's a shame that no anime is going to be at the Academy Awards,don't be too sad about it. It seems that there's a limited amount of space for stuff like this. Although an anime should be among the nominees,it can't always happen. Take the good with the bad. It may be a difficult lesson to learn,it's still a good one,anyway.
