I do prefer Kyousuke over Masamune but Kyousuke's decisions in season II just leave a bad taste in your mouth...............>_>

Fans of romance would probably disagree with you. Sometimes romance is the ONLY good thing in anime....that keeps people coming back to it. I'd personally rather watch an average to mediocre anime with a good pairing at the end than a good anime with a terrible pairing at the end. A bad ending can ruin everything....*coughnaginoasukaracough*

Well that's the thing right there. I very strongly disagree with that. A story is all about the journey for me. A bad ending could never ruin an otherwise good show for me. The ending just doesn't make me forget how good rest of the show was.
And I'm a fan of romance (anime).

Well, it really depends on the type of ending it is.
I don't like the endings to Gurren Lagann and Chrono Crusade but I still really like those series.
Oreimo's ending was just.............icky. I can't think about the show without having negative thoughts immediately. And considering that there are photos online of the Japanese otaku destroying the novels, I can see I'm not the only one. lol

In Oreimo you are talking about Kyousuke starting to date best girl Kuroneko, that it is incredibly sweet, before he then breaks up to her, breaking her heart, and finishes with dating his blood sister with a mock wedding or something, who spent most of the show insulting him. It is going to heaven before going to hell, that breaking of it hurt more than if there was nothing. You are also talking about things like nice girl childhood friend turning out to be a total "bad word", that she was an evil manipulator. And to say nothing that in a few ways his life was probably ruined to the point he was close to excommunicated by his father unnecessarily.
Some shows have a bad ending but the journey was fun, others will make it so bad that they life you up before making everything crash horribly, and then there is Oreimo.

Episode 12
Hey, this episode was great! Sagiri getting frustrated while trying to snatch that doujinishi from Masamune was funny and then the stuff with Sagiri's own porn manga was hilarious. And Sagiri finding enough courage to wave goodbye to Elf and Muramasa was a nice touch. This was the final episode though, right? It just didn't feel like a final episode at all.
Anyway I think I've explained what my issues with this show were already. There were a couple fun episodes so I did have some fun with the show and this final episode was so fun it makes me wanna raise the rating a bit but I shall be harsh and rate it so-so. Out of the 4 shows I followed weekly this season, this was the one I least looked forward to. If they make a 2nd season, I will watch it most likely. This show still has potential and can be funny at times so I'm hoping in the possible 2nd season there'll be more of these fun episodes and less of those boring episodes.
Edit: Or you know what, I'll raise the rating to decent. Comparing this to the other two shows I'll rate decent (Danmachi Spinoff and Akashic Records of...), I think this had a similar dousage of overall fun. Danmachi (yes 1 episode still left) started off weak, but got a bit better as it went along while Akashic Records of... did the opposite. Eromanga sensei had the good and bad episodes kinda shuffled around so it was inconsistent.

Was this really a finale? They did change the last scene at the ED.
Didn't feel like a conclusion but I laughed a lot. OH THE WOES TO LEARNING MALE ANATOMY
That was pretty funny stuff. Count me as one of those artists who will censor (with a leaf) or avoid drawing *that* at all. And my college art teacher always laughed at me for it :/
NOOOOO, IT'S TOO LEWD. I DON'T WANNA DRAW ONE OF THOSE. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER DRAW ONE, OK.

Episode 12 (finale)
This episode was fun. I think it is partially out of actually showing Sagiri is not just some kid who does not like that the stuff she creates is seen as perverted, because she really does seem to be a bit of a pervert herself. It is kind of that bit of Kirino where she would leeringly look at little girl stuff while laughing to herself in a creepy way. Sure, Sagiri as a girl can be a bit... you know. The erotic manga bit was quite funny, from her wanting to read the doujinshi, the reactions that followed, her making her own, getting him to give a read, that cat sound effect, and him just trying to bring up the anatomy problem.
I enjoyed this. I think that in general I am happy there was this chance to make up for the bad taste that was left by Oreimo, which was a series I really liked before the end. These are kind of things that are not perfect, you can have some moral qualms in being questionable in places, but underneath that it can generally be fun, kind of accepting of some of our weird sides, and yet is not as morally bankrupt with heart as one might think from initial impressions, I would certainly be up for another season that certain things would not be repeated. Masamune was perhaps a little less interesting than he could have been, more like this last episode would have been interesting, but Sagiri was cute. Elf was also pretty entertaining, but a couple of the other characters perhaps could have used more time.
For a rating, I am falling on Good (7/10), it is worth seeing. I almost want to rate it higher, but for me personally it was sort of a getting trust back after something truly infamous. In ways it still did not measure up to the other, but I am happy with this and it is something worth seeing for fans and new people. I kind of feel like a second season might be even better now as probably most of the ingredients of characters have been introduced, that Sagiri has made steps past be isolated from all the other characters.

Is it just me or did the finale felt rather pointless? It didn't develop the plot at all and really felt like an episode more suited for OVA or somewhere else.
On the other hand, I really like Muramasa in this show for some reason. I wish they gave this series gave her more of a chance to develop her character.

@ Stark700: Last week was the season finale, this was just the fanservice episode.

I mean, considering the event at the end of episode 11 ("end of the season episode"), shouldn't this be an official side story with link on the anime description in regards to Oreimo? I dunno if it could count as spoiler though.
