What I did when I was re-buying NHK for the ADV box was buying the other volumes at normal price. I then used the equivalent disc from the S.A.V.E. edition and put that one into a DVD case with printed artwork for the last volume. I did the same with Lucky Star for the Bandai LE release. I hate store exclusive boxes. Don't get me wrong, I love the way they look, I just hate that they're store exclusive. It means I have to go through Yahoo Auctions, which means I have to use a deputy service, which means my money goes through more hands than I'm comfortable with and eventually just forget about it. I'd love to have the box for AnoNatsu, though.

Yeah, it's beautiful. I have the first five volumes of Ano Natsu, but I really, really want the box. All of my stuff has boxes except Ano Natsu and Denpa Onna, but the boxes are usually at between 10-15k Yen on Yahoo Auctions.
I lucked out with Haganai because I won a YAJ auction for "only" 28k Yen. I reckon it must have costed the seller around 42k Yen to get all the volumes from Gamers. I wasn't even planning on importing Haganai at all untill I saw the auction, but at least now I'm ready for the second season! I've already pre-ordered the Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! volumes from HMV.jp to get their exclusive box though, so at least all of my KyoAni stuff will have boxes!  I think it's the first anime from them that doesn't come with a "regular" box.

Well, it's not like they will ship the box overseas or anything.....

Especially since the box will be shipped separately in early July 2013. The only time I've received bonuses from HMV is when things are packed in together. |

Yup. It did say from the beginning that they wouldn't ship it overseas though. They'll ship any bonuses except boxes. I have a guy in Japan who I buy through in exchange for a very small fee.

Seeing as I'm now back among the employed, decided to go on a small anime buying binge related to Fushigi Yugi. Snagged the Pioneer releases to both halves of the series in box sets, the boxset with the first two OVAs and the Eikoden OVA.

Well, you did well for yourself. I got all those items at the end of last year, but I think it cost me about $175 Cdn total. Not that it matters, I guess, but I have the LE version of Eikoden. All the stuff was used, but in excellent condition.
