ANN needs to put together some Nina T-Shirts!

I'll take one Shojo Nina, please.
Nah. Nina plushies should be in order. Plus a candy container that looks like her pet!

"Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga" pointed out that manga aimed at children shouldn't be based around what children want to read, because it's actually their mothers who buy them and need to be appealed to. The trick being to appeal to mothers but to dress it up properly so kids don't lose interest.

Why do people keep on suggesting that UMD DX is for kids!? I've seen the uncut version via fansubs and it swears like, every 2 seconds! And what about all the scenes where Daisuke get's stabbed by the Clenser King's scrapper of doom!? Those have to be the most violent, bloody scenes I've ever seen! I tell you it'd better be on Adult Swim instead of Toonami, because this is a very mature series indeed! And I hope Viz doesn't edit all of the violence and swearing out of it or else I'm gonna be incredibly pissed! Evil or Very Mad

Wait until you see the DVD release for episode #39! Remember the scene with Sachiko, the little girl from the school cafeteria who has such a big crush on Daisuke? Her good clothes that she needed for after school had gotten badly mussed and Daisuke let her hang them up in the boiler room so that the steam could straighten out the wrinkles, but by the time he got off work he had forgotten about it and walked in on her while she was changing. Well, in the R2 DVDs they removed almost all of the clouds of steam that were in the TV version. Let's just say that Sachiko may be petite but she isn't nearly as boyish as everyone thought, and anybody who still calls her a loli after this doesn't know what they are talking about! Poor Sachiko! She is such a sweet girl, but if Daisuke wants to be the best of the best he simply does not have time for a relationship right now.

I am the handle of my mop
a scrub brush is my body and Lysol is my blood
I have worn out over a thousand brooms
shown no love for dirt
or mercy for germs
worked long hours to swab many floors
yet those rooms will not stay bright and shiny
so as I clean, unlimited janitorial works

I seriously think she's not dead. She's probably going to appear in some future episode either comatose or resurrected and used as bait to drag out Daisuke into another tournament.

Great comic as usual!

Aww, that part made me cry the first time I saw it! It plagued my mind until spoiler[Daisuke learns of a magical cleaning solution sometimes known as the "Windex of Life." In his zealous state of grief, he wins the tournament for the memory of Mari and hurries off to find this strange and forbidden elixir.] Very moving stuff, actually.

Is that like Archer's Unlimited Blade Works from Fate Stay Night? But instead of swords the world is filled with mops made from all sort of different wood and plastics? Obviously to be the true janitor you'd want the mop made from wood. Wink

I still can't find an ANN entry for UMD DX! I'd really love to read up on it more, see which companies are working on it. Who's licensing it?! Viz? 4kids?! T.T Please, ANN-sama, inform us!
