I am writing merely to say that for the past week or so, my attempts to access the ANN website (forums, main page, the works), have been plagued by extremely slow load times, inability to connect, and just today I've been getting occasional database errors. I've asked around, and I'm not the only person to experience these problems.
If you're already aware of this, I apologize. |

It's been happening to me too. The site been loading slow for me, and I've even got a few database errors like Nagisa has.

I'm having the same problem, mostly slow loading though. I've only gotten a data-base error once.

I had it real bad yesterday and some today, too. I've had a couple errors as well.
Glad it's not just me. |

It only seems to be bad for me in the mornings. But the afternoon and evenings are usually fine.

Not so much slow, but i did get a few errors. |

I've always had those problems. Always thought it was my connection.

I suspect in you care littlegreenwolf it is you internet connection.
ANN has been having serious "health-issues" for the past couple days, and I'm working on resolving them. The longer the server is up, the slower it gets. Right now (since midnight), Apache is being automatically restarted every hour, so if you visit the site around 5 past the hour, you'll find it should be at its best. Hopefully every hour will be good enough until we get the actual problem fixed. |

Was your whole server down a couple days ago? I got error messages saying that the requested server could not be found, or something like that. I haven't noticed any slower than usual load times though. No matter what website I go to, it always takes at least two minutes to load any sort of page.

I wish I had the same confidence in the issue as you do. I think it'll take us a while to get the whole issue resolved, but in the meantime we should be able to keep it from affecting readers too much too often. -t |

Yeah. Hoping to resolve the problme we took the server down on Tuesday and upgraded FreeBSD, Apache and PHP. It seems to have helped, but not entirely fixed the problem. -t |

Did you fix it yesterday? I was having a horrible time during the afternoon. |
