I was looking at tour packages for Japan but considered just making my own trip. I would definitely visit Chichibu if I do the latter. |

Both the Seibu Chichibu Line and the Chichibu Main Line are scenic and pleasant rides (you could probably combine them in a single day trip from Tokyo with an early start and visiting in the northern summer). The Chichibu Main Line still used cardboard Edmonson tickets when I travelled on it in August 2017. Anohana anime was featured at a vending machine at Ohanabatake Station when I visited there in June 2017. |
