only thing i mad about is no playable characters what kind of final fantasy doesn't have no playable characters this is such disappointment i mean i already them want to make xvi already to bring back old and new styles in the mix. The only reason XV for casual gamers the game is easy to play but beautifully graphics, square enix has lost their old ways heck most the people who used to work there left to go somewhere else, xv is meant for kingdom hearts fans. I mean I like kingdom hearts but final fantasy is losing its touch it rather be not jrpg more action rpgs. Good action rpgs are like tales series is great and namco still let you play all characters. I really want to see good rpg that old traditional and new gameplay that is hybrid of action and turn based that has long hours of story. Square Fux doesn't give damn of fans. Anyone out there want to see a AAA jrpg that good graphics, that has playable characters, gameplay that has tradition turn base and action base together, make you say wow that was a good game.

No playable characters? Noctis is playable just like Sora is playable in KH. You can't directly control your party members but you can heavily customize their AI (like the gambits in FF12). You can't have both real time and turn based combat at the same time it doesn't work that way and if you love the Tales games so much there are already tons of them. and how would you know the game is easy when it's still at least a year away from release? Or do you somehow have access to this finished game already? I don't play the games. I watch them. I'm hoping someone uploads their playthroughs withOUT commentary in 1080p HD ASAP once it's out.
 I'm getting so impatient waiting for all of the dramallama Noctis is going to get into.

I'll get it because I'm a brand whore and have been waiting since 2006.
Bitter with cash in hand Ill be getting the PS4 in Febuary. 15 Seems like its going to be an real age kingdom hearts. Fan backlash might ensue if FF Type-0 doesn't calm the fire a bit. FF Type-0 looks boring as shit. I didn't pirate it like so many of you did. An FF7 remake would probably wrangle all the haters back in but the odds of committee agreement and back royalties is most likely what is holding them back. Remember EA's name was all over that when it hit the US. SE has proved they do not care what we think, so....

Honestly, the thing that impresses me the most out of all of this so far is the Luminous Engine/Luminous Studio itself. That's quite a pipeline they've built, but about the game, it'll be really interesting to see how the playable demo turns out...for better or worse.

Final Fatasy Cycle in action. Some people bashed FFXIII, said Versus XIII/FFXV was going to be the true good game.. now people are calling FFXV crap and saying FFXVI will be the savior of gaming. I think you people don't even know what you want at the end of the day. |

Look at Square Enix playing catch up with the terrain tools.Lol Besides the Cloud tech it has all been done before. Their terrain does look great, the land is very spacious I just hope 15's story can save it from mediocrity.(You know Bishi Band Road Trip) BBRT! I have faith but cant shake the decade of disappointment.
My expectations arent high, I know the talent has disembarked. Listen I liked 13, I really did but 13-2 and Lightning returns were a waste of effort imo. (An Example? Look how quickly they were both cut in price. No lasting power there.) They could have tried harder to make more games with the Crystal engine, more IP's in hopes of one of them stuck instead of a linear cheese ridden trilogy that was apologetic before it even hit our shores. SE needs a leg that isn't "mobile only" to stand on. I have hope. |

I think we're living in some alternate universe. We've gotten more information about FF XV in the past month than we've gotten in 3 years. When Nomura switched to Unreal because of problems with Luminous I got worried, but everything looks gorgeous so far. Anyway, I cannot wait to play this.

Sounds like the Final Fantasy fanbase alright. There's always something to complain about. |

Actually if you look at the tech demo vids it says that FFXV is in Luminous 1.4. So that's still in Luminous it's Kingdom Hearts 3 that's in unreal engine. I imagine because they can't afford to wait for the Luminous team to finish the engine before starting on KH3. Square's really gotten their act together this last year. Oh yeah also Nomura's off FFXV it's all about Tabata now. Nomura's moved on to KH3 (and another project he can't talk about yet he said). They also said in the last direct that FFXV is about 80% complete. I'm really hoping we get FFXV in 2015 and KH3 in 2016. |

Oh yeah, that's right, I didn't notice Luminous 1.4 in the corner of the screen. Well, it looks good, so that's a good sign. My only concern with Luminous is that it doesn't end up like Crystal Tools, where the engine was only used in the FFXIII games and nowhere else. It's too bad that took Nomura off FF XV, but I heard it was because he was taking too long, so it's perfectly understandable why they did it. But at least he can fully focus on KH3 now. While I haven't really played any of Tabata's games, all the FF XV gameplay so far looks fun, so I'm too not worried. |

Well whether the gameplay ends up being fun or not at the very least it'll look amazing that's for sure
I think there are a lot of fanbases that don't know what they want. Not hard to be that way when you have a series that changes up big chunks of its formula every entry or two and relying mostly on recurring terms and that big, fancy "FINAL FANTASY" logo on the cover. A lot of the good things in one game fans liked from then just might not be compatible at all with another good thing that appeared in a later game, and both would have fans that became fans during the peak of their popularity. On the other hand the hour-long video is making me wish I had a device to play Type-0 on

It seems like we will be able to explore areas this time, not just following strait paths.
I really hope that atleast one female character will join them at some point, because having only male characters in your party is boring. |
