REI!!! Shocked But he's not in the High Speed novels or the manga! I wonder how they going to put him in the movie. Confused

My suspicion - and this is just a wild guess - is that his description saying "Often goes to the library" is a key to what part he'll play.
Needless to say, it'll probably be a very small part, but seeing his nerdy 11-year-old self means everything to me. <3

Wow, also curious to see how they would write Rei into High Speed.
I wonder if it's about time I stop hoping that the female characters are going to be included, or Haru's dog, Makkou.

Well, in at least one magazine poster for the film Makkou has been present - so it's not totally impossible!!

Oh, thank you for the heads up! Do you mind giving me a link for the image? I remember I've seen one with Haru and a cat. There's also a recorded video of a trailer roaming around featuring more scenes and sadly, no dog in sight.

This is looking really, really great.
I'm glad Rei made it to the movie despite not being in the source material.

Makkou is extremely vital to Haruka's characterization and to some degree to Nagisa's.
Leaving Makkou out would hurt the movie a lot despite him having a seemingly trivial role as a pet.
