Rumiko Takahashi, Naoki Urasawa, More Draw 1-Shots For Big Comic Spirits Magazine

This year's ninth issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine (cover shown right) announced on Monday that it will celebrate its 35th anniversary by publishing one-shot manga from multiple authors. The authors listed include Naoki Urasawa (Pluto, 20th Century Boys), Katsutoshi Kawai (Monkey Turn, Tomehane! Suzuri Kōkō Shodōbu), Kôji Kumeta (Joshiraku, Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei), Rumiko Takahashi (Inuyasha, Ranma ½), Keiko Nishi (Kyudo Boys, Katsu Curry no Hi), Akiko Higashimura (Princess Jellyfish, Kakukaku Shikajika), Fujihiko Hosono (Crusher Joe, Gallery Fake), and Norifusa Mita (Dragon Zakura, Investor Z).
In addition, Masami Yuuki (Mobile Police Patlabor, Birdy the Mighty) will publish a one-shot manga for his Kyūkyoku Chōjin R manga series.
Big Comic Spirits launched in 1980. Some of the manga series published by the above authors in the magazine include:
