Sega began streaming two "Song Magic Concert Movie" videos on Monday for its and Imageepoch's Stella Glow simulation role-playing game for the Nintendo 3DS.

The videos feature the character PoPo's (played by Maaya Uchida) song "Sabitsuita Kagi" (The Keys That Rusted Together), and Risette's (played by Yoshino Nanjou) song "Densetsu no Umi e" (Toward the Legendary Sea).

Atlus USA will release the game in the Americas this year.

The game takes place in a world of swords and magic, where a knight named Alto must recruit witches to defeat the Witch of Destruction Hilda. Gameplay will focus on witches who control "song magic," and will feature strategic battles on a 3D map that center on the witches who employ this magic. Battles will be fought from a quarter-view perspective.

Hideyuki Mizutani (Luminous Arc, Fate extra series) is producing the game, Dai Ōba (7th Dragon 2020-II) is directing, and Procyon Studio, Yasunori Mitsuda, and Shunsuke Tsuchiya are handling the sound. Konomi Suzuki is performing the opening theme song "Hikari no Metamorphosis." Makoto Shakadō, ideolo, and others are designing the characters.

The cast includes:

The white knighthood:

  • Atsushi Abe as Alto
  • Yoshino Nanjou as Risette
  • Maaya Uchida as PoPo
  • Yui Sakakibara as Sakuya
  • Kousuke Toriumi as Klaus
  • Junji Majima as Rusty
  • Tooru Sakurai as Archibald

The black apostles:

  • Kento Hama as Dante
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Dorothy
  • Yukari Tamura as Hilda

Sega will release the game on June 4 in Japan for 5,990 yen (about US$49).

The game will celebrate 10 years of the Imageepoch brand. Imageepoch trademarked the name "Stella Glow" in September. While Imageepoch announced the game as a solo venture in October, Sega will now publish the game. Imageepoch filed for bankruptcy earlier this month.
