Tribe Cool Crew Team Makes Dance Anime Brave Beats

posted on by Egan Loo
Boy fuses with robot to become a Dance Hero & restore robot's powers

The production team behind the "street dance anime" Tribe Cool Crew is making Brave Beats, another dance anime which will premiere on Nagoya TV, TV Asahi, and other Japanese stations on October 11.

The story follows Hibiki Kazaguruma, a sixth grader who meets an amusing little robot named Bureikin while coming home from school one day. Bureikin, a dancer from an alternate-dimension dance world, challenged the dance king for the throne and lost. He has been deprived of Dance Stones (the stones of dance power) and sent to the human world. To restore his power, Bureikin must collect all the Dance Stones scattered around Earth.

Meanwhile, the Dance Stones cause chaos on the human world. To retrieve the Dance Stones, Bureikin fuses with Hibiki and transforms into a Dance Hero.

The cast includes:

Meguru Takahashi as Hibiki Kazaguruma

Tooru Sakurai as Bureikin

Shiho Kokido as Kotone Amamiya

Yuri Yoshida as Adrienne

Yūta Murano (episode director on Doraemon, Phi-Brain - Kami no Puzzle) is directing the anime, and Bandai Namco Pictures' Isao Minegishi (Tribe Cool Crew) and Yasuhiko Hattori (Tribe Cool Crew) are serving as producer and chief producer, respectively. The Japan Street Dance Association is returning from Tribe Cool Crew to supervise the character dance sequences.

As they did for Tribe Cool Crew, the performance group lol is performing the opening theme song "pop that!!" Shion Miyawaki is performing the ending theme song "Hana Aku Toki" (The Time the Flower Opens).

The trademark Brave Beats was filed for registration in anime, games, and other fields on Bandai Namco Pictures' behalf on July 10. The Internet domain name "bravebeats.net" was also registered on behalf of the anime studio Sunrise on July 22.
