The 25th Ward: The Silver Case Game's English Gameplay Trailer Posted

NIS America to release PS4/PC game in the West in 2018

NIS America began streaming a gameplay trailer for the HD remake of The 25th Ward: The Silver Case on Wednesday. NIS America will release the game for PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam in North America and Europe in 2018. The game will be available digitally and in a physical limited edition.

The game is a sequel to Grasshopper Manufacture's The Silver Case. It launched episodically for mobile devices in Japan from 2005 to 2007. NIS America describes the story:

It is been five years since the events of 1999's “The Silver Case,” set in the new 25th Ward that arose in the bayside area of Kanto. In a room of the “Bayside Tower Land” apartment complex, a woman is found murdered under mysterious circumstances. This sets off a series of seemingly random events bridging across multiple protagonists including The Silver Case's Tokio Morishima. With all viewpoints assembled, a truly shocking pattern emerges…

Grasshopper Manufacture released a remastered version of The Silver Case on the Steam, Playism, GOG, and Humble Store platforms for PC last October. The company then released the game for Mac in November 2016. The HD remaster marked the first time the game had an English release. NIS America released the game on the PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in April.

Gōichi Suda (also known as Suda51; Let It Die, Lollipop Chainsaw, Killer is Dead) directed and wrote the games. The original game featured elements of an adventure game, a puzzle game, and a visual novel.
