posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Actor and voice actor Tadashi Nakamura passed away at 9:10 a.m. on November 11 in a hospital in Kanagawa Prefecture due to blood poisoning from gall bladder inflammation. He was 89. A funeral service was held for close relatives.

Nakamura was from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. He had been affiliated with Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society since the talent agency's establishment. He narrated the Japanese version of the American sitcom Bewitched, and he voiced Charlie in the Japanese-dubbed version of the original Charlie's Angels television series.

In recent years, Nakamura had roles in Mamoru Hosoda's anime films, and he played a bullet train in last year's Mirai. Nakamura's other anime roles include Giant Robo's Shokatsuryō Kōmei, Kyojin no Hoshi's Tetsuharu Kawakami, Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040's Quincy Rosenkroitz, and Tetsujin 28's Dr. Bigfire.
