This year's 41st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that the new "Mojuro" manga teased last week from Jujutsu Kaisen manga creator Gege Akutami and Cipher Academy manga illustrator Yuji Iwasaki is actually a spinoff of Jujutsu Kaisen. The manga's full title is Jujutsu Kaisen: Mojuro (romanization not confirmed). The manga launched in the 41st issue on Monday.

Iwasaki shared an illustration previewing the series on X (formerly Twitter).

The first chapter has 54 pages, with a color opening page. Shueisha also featured the manga on the cover of the 41st issue.

The manga will be a fixed short-term manga. Akutami stated in a comment the manga will be "around" three volumes long, serializing for about half a year ("as long as the manga is not canceled," he added).

The magazine also revealed more projects for the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise. An exhibition for the anime's second season will be held at Ikebukuro Sunshine City in Tokyo from December 5-29. Additionally, the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade smartphone and PC game will add an original story on September 23. To celebrate the anime's five-year anniversary, a "Juju Fes" event will be held in 2026.

Lastly, horror novelist Yumeaki Hirayama (Diner) will pen a spinoff novel for the franchise. The magazine did not reveal a release window for the novel.

Author NisiOisin and illustrator Iwasaki launched the Cipher Academy (Angō Gakuen no Iroha) manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in November 2022, and ended the series in February 2024. The manga has seven volumes. MANGA Plus and Viz Media both published the series in English digitally.

Akutami launched the Jujutsu Kaisen manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018, and ended it in September 2024. Viz Media is publishing the manga digitally and in print, and Shueisha also published the manga digitally on its MANGA Plus service. The manga has 30 volumes.

The first anime adaptation of the manga premiered in October 2020, and it had 24 episodes.

The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime film opened in Japan in December 2021, and it opened with English subtitles and with an English dub in the U.S. and Canada in March 2022.

The anime's second season premiered in July 2023 and aired for two cours (quarters of a year) for a continuous half-year run. The anime adapted both the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" ("Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu") arc and the "Shibuya Incident" arc of the manga. Crunchyroll streamed the season as it aired in Japan, and is also streaming an English dub.

The "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arc received a compilation film that opened in Japan on May 30. GKIDS acquired the film and screened it in theaters in the United States on July 16 and 17.

The Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution (Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins) compilation film will be a compilation of the second season's "Shibuya Incident," along with the first two episodes of the third season. The film will open throughout Japan on November 7, and will screen in North America on December 5.

The anime is getting a sequel adapting the manga's "Culling Game" (Shimetsu Kaiyū) arc. MAPPA will continue to produce the anime. Part 1 of the anime will debut in January 2026.
